I fell in love with yoga the very first time I walked into a class and stepped onto the mat. I loved everything about it - how it made me feel as I was doing it, the way I felt vibrantly alive after class had ended. and for the fact that it grounded me in a very new and real way. At that time, I had never felt that way before and it was exhilarating.


On the mat is where I first met inspiration and hope. It's where I discovered the divine spark that lives within me and it's where I discovered my body in the present moment.


Teaching Yoga is what I was put on this earth to do. It's where my passion lies and where I get my inspiration. When I am teaching, I am thinking of nothing else. It's only the present moment that exists.  


 I believe that connecting with & inspiring others to heal and grow is what I was put on this earth to do. I first discovered that this was my purpose shortly after I began my teacher training in 2002. Little did I know, it would forever change the trajectory of my life.


Currently, I oversee Healing Arts Studio, sister company to Counseling & Healing Arts of Oswego County, Inc., where we hold both private & group yoga classes, 8-week meditation courses & a variety of special events. Many of these events are focused on mindfulness that will help to raise awareness of the inner workings of the mind as we navigate the world around us. We invite instructors from all over to share their gifts with our students in the hopes of bringing more awareness, confidence & positivity to those who attend. We usually hold 1-3 special events each month.

 I also teach at North Coast Yoga, a beautiful, long-established yoga studio located in Oswego, NY, one evening every week & have for the past 7 years.

I wholeheartedly believe in the healing benefits of mindfully moving our bodies, balancing energy work, maintenance of one's own mental health and all things wellness related that are aimed at improving quality of life from a holistic approach.

In 2002, I became a certified yoga instructor in Sivananda Yoga. This specific style of yoga is an ancient form of Hatha Yoga which includes asanas (yoga postures), pranayama (breathing exercises) that help to bring peace to the mind, body and helps to prepare the body for deeper spiritual practices such as meditation.

My Sivananda teacher training took place at a humble studio located in sunny Lake Worth, Florida while living in West Palm Beach for 4 years. 

In 2006, I relocated to north eastern North Carolina. While there, I had the privilege of training with Seane Corn & expanded my training to Vinyasa (Flow) Yoga. This has come to be one of my most favorite styles of yoga where movement is linked to breath along with a continuous flow of postures & resting poses sprinkled throughout each class. All of my classes, regardless of style, will end with 10-15 minutes of a guided relaxation.

While residing in North Carolina, I earned my undergraduate degree in Health and Wellness with a focus in Sports Science. For a short period of time I was certified through National Council on Strength and Fitness (NCSF) as a personal trainer. While I no longer hold this title, I am forever grateful for the education obtained during this in-depth training and remains visible within my classes.

In 2014, I became certified in Children’s Yoga through ChildLight Yoga and have taught & continue to teach yoga to children since becoming certified in this style.

Most recently, In 2018, I took a course in Yoga for Trauma Survivors. This training focused on the benefits of yoga for those who struggle with PTSD, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, sexual abuse and many other issues that trauma can cause.

I have also recently completed my training in Yin & Yoga Nidra.

Over the years, I have taught and taken a variety of yoga classes and I have come to realize that there is yoga for everyone. I know that there will always be more to learn as well as the space to grow as an instructor & as a human. I am determined to be a student for life!

Along my journey, I could never see myself focusing on just one career, deep down I knew that I wanted to help people in as many ways as I could. Trusting that life is an evolution, I allow & continue to allow my gifts to grow. 

In the fall of 2017, I became a certified reiki practitioner in Holy Fire & Usui Level one & level two. Following that training, I expanded my knowledge & completed & obtained my Holy Fire II Usui Master/Teacher training in June of 2018. 

It is my personal mission to make sure that my own healing, learning and growing never ends. I hope to not only inspire others along the way, but to continue living an inspired life, every step of the way.

When people receive a reiki treatment, they usually express that they feel much lighter, more relaxed and less stressed. 


Sessions are approximately 45 minutes in duration and involve very light touch, however, a session can be done completely "hands off" as well.
